How Do I Have a Relationship With Jesus?
How Do I Have a Relationship With Jesus?
Just as you have a relationship with anyone else you must maintain your relationship with Christ
Who is Jesus? What did he do?
Who is Jesus? What did he do?
Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the promised messiah of the Old Testament scriptures. He is God come down as a man to bear the punishment for our sins, hanging in our place, since we would not be able to atone for our sins on our own.
If you do not recognize Jesus as your savior, and that through him you may receive eternal life, and that you must repent of your sins and have faith in him, you cannot have a relationship with him.

Pray
Praying is the act of communication and communion with God. It is done by those sealed with the Holy Spirit of God, in the name of Jesus, the Son of God, and God the Father.
'The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.'

You can communicate with God through prayer, and most often God communicates back through what he has already told us in Scripture, the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
'All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.'
II Timothy 3:16-17

Join a local Church that abides by the Bible
God gave us the church to join together with other Christians, to worship together, pray together, study scripture together, and confess our sins to one another.
This life is hard and God made sure that we would be able to work together through all the trials and tribulations.

Jesus set us free from the bondage of sin and death, but we aren't to keep that information to ourselves; the whole world needs to know how Christ overcame the kingdom of darkness.
'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.'
Matthew 28:19-20
